Break Up to Make Up
Have you ever loved and lost? But then, like…found love again…with the same person you previously lost? Probably not, because most break ups suck and are SUPER PERMANENT. That’s not the case for Magdalena, our guest today. She went through a tough break up with her main squeeze, only to find him past the light at the end of the tunnel.
She sheds light on the benefits and challenges of living with her boyfriend. The ups and downs and moments she’s so deeply in love with him to moments she wants to punch him in the face (my words not hers). I think one of the biggest hurdles for couples to jump over when they live together is cleanliness. Some dudes don’t mind being messy and throw everything under the bed or in the closet. This can create issues when your S.O. is trying to live the squeaky clean lifestyle.
Aside from their journey into clean living, we also discuss the importance of having support and comfort in your sex life. I truly believe, whether you’re having sex or not, you should cultivate a relationship where both you and your partner are comfortable discussing sex, because, it’s one of the most important aspects of a relationship, again, whether you’re having sex or not. A study from 2011 surveyed couples spanning across 30 years of research and found sexual communication to be surprisingly low across all couples (married, dating, older, younger, etc.) She talks about how her and her S.O. talk about what they like, dislike, and most importantly, how they always approach sex without judgment or criticism.
With all that being said, I hope you enjoy the podcast and take something away from it. If anything, I hope it helps pass some time in your day. Thanks for the support.
